Pororongup House is a lovely retreat. So peaceful. The home was exceptionally clean and had everything you would need. The bed was so comfortable. The interior was decorated tastefully with natural materials. I particularly appreciated being able to leave my dog in the fully fenced yard to go hike Mount Trio. Kylee was willing to go check on my dog if needed. A really fabulous place to stay.

Loved how dog friendly the whole place was. Fenced area around chalet and a couple of larger fenced dog run/sniff areas. Really well supplied kitchen. Fresh eggs, much appreciated. Animals and chooks right next to chalet. Nesting swallows and Willy wag tails in the outside pergola. Loved it. Nothing.

We had a lovely stay at Porongurup house. We used it as a base to hike the Stirling Ranges which worked perfectly for us. The house was setup to keep you cosy and warm which was a bonus when you have achy muscles from the mountain treks! Kylee was fast to respond when we had a minor problem and was really thoughtful in leaving a bottle of wine and a dozen eggs for the inconvenience which we didn’t expect ❤️
We loved the animals and they loved us too (except the white alpaca didn’t seem to like my son 😂) He liked me though!

Porongurup House is so comfortable and very well equipped. It is also very warm in the cooler months with the added advantage of an electric blanket on the bed. The farm animals are a delight and our Labrador enjoyed greeting them each morning, although I think he was hoping to get some of the food provided for the animals. We were attracted to the area because of the dark night skies and it really is the perfect location for astrophotographers. It was disappointing to have to return to the city after our stress-free stay but we'll hopefully be back next year. Thank you Kylee.

A stunning farm property with breathtaking views, beautifully maintained and full of charm. We adored spending time with the friendly farm animals and had an unforgettable experience hiking the Stirling Ranges — thanks to the exceptional hospitality at 'Home & Hound'

Gorgeous cosy 2 bedroom self contained chalet surrounded by nature. Friendly farm animals on your doorstep and an exceptional host. This was our fourth stay at Home and Hound, we absolutely love it here. Makes a great base for exploring Stirling Ranges, the Porongorups and even Albany. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Kylee and her husband went above and beyond to make me and my sister very welcome.
Bags of feed for the animals were left out, we couldnt wait to go and explore the farm.
I would highly recommend visiting and staying at least 2 nights to take full advantage of the truelly wonderful experience.

a beautiful little place to stay. the kids loved the animals and had a lot of fun. The fenced in yard for the dog is really great for people travelling with their pets. The accommodation was nice and cosy and had everything we needed.

Kylee’s place is the perfect countryside hideaway — a peaceful retreat where the only sounds you’ll hear are those of nature. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need: fresh towels, soap, shampoo, cozy blankets, pillows, and plenty of firewood (with kindling right out front to get the fireplace going).
The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials, from cookware to basics like coffee pods, tea, sugar, oil, and spices- making it easy to prepare meals. There’s also a bbq where you can grill with a view.
What truly makes the stay magical, though, are the animals. Just outside the house you’ll find two friendly alpacas, plump and playful sheep, and a lively flock of chickens-all of which you can hand-feed with the provided feed.. A short walk uphill brings you to the horses, goats, and cows.
It’s more than just a stay; it’s a heartwarming farm experience, where every detail feels carefully thought out. A truly memorable and delightful getaway.
