Second time around, and just as good as the first time, if not better. Excellent accommodation, very reasonably priced for what it is, feels like a home-away-from-home but better furnished. Disabled guests catered for with ramps, railings and even shower stools - this deserves special mention as we've not seen this anywhere else we've stayed. Overall, peaceful, very well furnished and set up, and an excellent gateway to a relaxed day or two in the Stirlings and Porongurups. Bonus points for the alpacas, sheep, animal feed, chooks, and free eggs!

The home had everything that you would need, fully equipped kitchen, the beds were super comfortable, plenty of blankets and pillows, there was a washing machine and plenty of space. The views were fantastic and we loved feeding the animals - goats, horses and a cow and there were also soma alpacas and sheep. The bird life was incredible and there were also a couple of bunnies hopping about, to the delight of my daughters. And the host was great - communicated well before our arrival, making sure that we got our code and that we settled in well.

Clean, comfortable and all amenities anticipated Bluff Knoll House at Home and Hound is indeed home away from home. The beds were incredibly comfy and the quiet serenity immediately relaxing. Home and Hound is the perfect balance between farmstay retreat and accessibility to endless activity options. Kylee and Kirin are warm, welcoming hosts who epitimise hospitality while respecting privacy. Farm fresh eggs and complimentary a coffee were most appreciated in the morning while we enjoyed the beautiful endless views. The gentle daily rhythm of the animals lucky enough to call Home and Hound home were always entertaining as we strolled around the farm. We were sorry to leave Home and Hound and plan to return again soon.

Pororongup House is a lovely retreat. So peaceful. The home was exceptionally clean and had everything you would need. The bed was so comfortable. The interior was decorated tastefully with natural materials. I particularly appreciated being able to leave my dog in the fully fenced yard to go hike Mount Trio. Kylee was willing to go check on my dog if needed. A really fabulous place to stay.

Loved how dog friendly the whole place was. Fenced area around chalet and a couple of larger fenced dog run/sniff areas. Really well supplied kitchen. Fresh eggs, much appreciated. Animals and chooks right next to chalet. Nesting swallows and Willy wag tails in the outside pergola. Loved it. Nothing.

Porongurup House is so comfortable and very well equipped. It is also very warm in the cooler months with the added advantage of an electric blanket on the bed. The farm animals are a delight and our Labrador enjoyed greeting them each morning, although I think he was hoping to get some of the food provided for the animals. We were attracted to the area because of the dark night skies and it really is the perfect location for astrophotographers. It was disappointing to have to return to the city after our stress-free stay but we'll hopefully be back next year. Thank you Kylee.

Gorgeous cosy 2 bedroom self contained chalet surrounded by nature. Friendly farm animals on your doorstep and an exceptional host. This was our fourth stay at Home and Hound, we absolutely love it here. Makes a great base for exploring Stirling Ranges, the Porongorups and even Albany. Can’t recommend highly enough.

We had an amazingly relaxing time at the Porongurup House! Having the farm animals come right up to the house was a new experience for our staffy, but the animals were so calm and friendly. By the second day she was running up and down the fence with the sheep having a great play and I think made two new best friends. The house was very cosy and the outdoor space was exactly what you'd want when travelling with your dog. Will definitely be staying again!

Everything! The location, the absolutely stunning views, the thoughtful little gestures, the pet friendliness of the place, the approachable farm animals, the animal feed provided, heating, hot water, bedding linens, I could charge my EV! Not on them, more on me - I wish I could have more opportunity to chat more with the owner to find out more about the farm! Don't worry about the facade of the home, in the end it was immaterial compared to everything else!
